Staff - Actuarial Analytics (12 months contract)

Main Purpose of Job: To support the Actuarial Analytics team on data analytics and optimization projects.

Job Descriptions

• Source and prepare data files and conduct data cleaning and data processing for key projects assigned.

• Work with key internal stakeholders (Smart Data team, Inforce team, Pricing team) to understand the data, process the data to be fit for purpose, and document it.

• Develop analytics models in Python or using the analytics software available in the company

• Analytics and interpret the output of the model to ensure it is fit for purpose

• Extract the results from the models to assist with management presentations.

• Support for any other urgent analytics as needed (data preparation and analysis)

Qualifications

• 0 - 3 years of experience in actuarial or analytics related roles, preferably in life insurance.
• Good understanding of life insurance products
• Able to code and understand Python (key requirement). Good expertise in Excel.
• A good command of English, since it is the office language.
• Able to think and develop a data analytics project to answer key questions.
• Analytical skills – Able to utilize Python or available models to conduct data analytics
• Learning skill – Able to share knowledge and learn from the team.
• Communication skills – Able to explain the working process, results and output to team members.
• Teamwork – Able to collaborate with internal stakeholders and understand key challenges other stakeholders face.
