Staff Attack Engineer, Internal/AD

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Attack Engineer, Internal/AD to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will serve as a technical lead focused on internal-network and Active Directory attack capabilities that help validate and improve modern enterprise defenses. You will research emerging tradecraft and turn it into production-ready attack content, with a strong emphasis on hardened environments and practical offensive testing. The position also partners closely with engineering and threat intelligence to expand attack-path modeling and prioritize coverage that reflects real customer environments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $247,000 – $275,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for internal-network and Active Directory attack capabilities
• Research and translate emerging AD tradecraft into production attack content
• Design and maintain production-grade Python powering attack capabilities
• Build attacks suitable for modern, hardened environments
• Configure and exploit AD test environments for validation and testing
• Extend attack-path modeling to represent new privilege escalation paths
• Prioritize coverage roadmap based on customer environments and threat intelligence

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on offensive experience against Active Directory and internal enterprise networks
• Command of current AD tradecraft, including credential access and lateral movement
• Demonstrated experience with modern, hardened environments
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with expert-level Python
• Ability to independently research unfamiliar systems and become a team's expert
• A track record of technical leadership and mentoring
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
