Staff Backend Engineer – Python at BairesDev

In this role, you'll bring deep technical expertise to the backend systems behind products serving millions of collectors. This is a hands-on position where your judgment on architecture and design directly raises the bar for the whole team. This is your opportunity to influence technical direction across projects while staying close to the code.

What You'll Do

• Design and build backend services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Own complete features end to end, from design through deployment.
• Design microservices and event-driven systems that scale reliably.
• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Design data models across PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in backend engineering, with strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
• Background in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
• Exposure to the collectibles domain.
