Staff Data Engineer, Analytics

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Data Engineer, Analytics to join the team of a leader in the Transportation space.

This role will focus on shaping a scalable analytics data foundation that supports decision-making across the organization. You will partner closely with stakeholders to strengthen data modeling, improve platform reliability, and deliver trusted metrics that can inform business operations. The position also plays an important role in advancing data quality, governance, and team capability within a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $155,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the development of the analytics platform
• Enhance and optimize the data analytics architecture
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build extensible models and metrics
• Evolve data quality and governance processes
• Mentor and up-skill team members

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Strong initiative and a problem-solving mindset
• Fluent in SQL, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse design
• Proficient in dbt and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster
• Experience with AI model integration and analytics
• Skilled in optimizing pipelines handling billion+ row datasets
