The Mission

This is a contractor role through X-Team for people based in Mexico / Brazil.

You’ll join the data team behind the creator partnership program of a game studio. Influencer managers use this data to run creator partnerships around the world. The integrations behind the creator portal and its Salesforce application are now overdue for a rebuild. You’ll own that rebuild inside the studio’s central game data warehouse. That means building production-grade Medallion pipelines in Databricks, dbt, and Airflow, along with the dashboards and trusted datasets leadership uses to make decisions about creator programs.

At Staff level, you’ll set the engineering standards for this work. You’ll lead code reviews, write SLAs and documentation, mentor engineers, and share on-call duties, while working directly with program stakeholders, product teams, and technical leads.

The Role

• Rebuild Creator Hub Integrations: Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Databricks connecting Creator Hub, Salesforce, and Riot's central warehouse.
• Medallion Data Modeling: Implement structured data transformations in dbt following Medallion architecture standards (Bronze, Silver, Gold) optimized for accuracy, query performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Pipeline Reliability & Observability: Diagnose pipeline failures, optimize compute performance, enforce data quality testing, and establish observability across streaming and batch workflows.
• Data Governance & Security: Apply GDPR, CCPA, and internal privacy guidelines when processing behavioral and creator datasets.
• Dashboards & Custom Analytics: Build custom reporting layers, data models, and dashboards to provide actionable insights for influencer managers and executive leadership.
• Craft Leadership & Mentorship: Define engineering standards, lead code reviews, author technical documentation/SLAs, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor junior engineers.

The "Must-Haves"

• 7+ years of hands-on experience building and running production data pipelines.
• Strong production experience with Databricks, including Spark and Delta Lake.
• Advanced Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience building transformation models in dbt.
• Experience orchestrating pipelines with Apache Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Experience designing Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and dimensional data models.
• Production experience on AWS or GCP.
• Proven experience leading at Staff level: setting engineering standards, leading code reviews, and mentoring engineers.
• Based in Mexico or Brazil with ability to maintain a minimum 6-hour daily working overlap with PST, along with active participation in an on-call rotation cycle.

The "Bonus" Skills

• Experience with Scala.
• Experience with streaming data using Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
• Experience integrating Salesforce data or ingesting data from REST APIs.
• Experience defining data contracts and SLAs.
• Experience handling personal data under GDPR or CCPA.
• Experience building dashboards and reporting layers for business and executive audiences.
• Background in gaming, creator, or influencer data.
