Staff Embedded Engineer

We’re working with a fast-growing green technology company developing next-generation energy and power systems . They’re building highly technical hardware products at the intersection of embedded systems, power electronics, energy storage, and intelligent control .

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced embedded engineer looking to work on real-world energy technology and have significant ownership over the firmware and systems they develop.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 8+ years of professional embedded systems / firmware experience , with strong hands-on development in production environments.
• Expert C/C++ experience for real-time embedded systems, including bare-metal and RTOS development; Zephyr is highly relevant.
• Strong experience with ARM Cortex-M/R , low-level drivers, peripherals, hardware bring-up, schematic/datasheet interpretation, and HW/SW integration.
• Experience developing and debugging real-time control systems , including closed-loop control, system testing, oscilloscopes, HIL, and hardware-level debugging.
• Proven track record of owning embedded products from concept through production , with the ability to take technical ownership, drive architecture, and mentor engineers at Staff/Principal level.

Nice to Have

• Experience with power electronics, energy storage, BMS, inverters, or grid-connected systems .
• Embedded Linux experience, including Yocto, BSP, device tree, or ARM Cortex-A .
• Experience with bootloaders, secure boot, OTA, or functional safety .
• Experience with CAN FD, Modbus, RS485, Ethernet, or other industrial protocols .
• Experience with Python automation, CI/CD, Docker, CMake, or GitHub Actions .
• Familiarity with UL/IEC standards for power electronics.
