Staff Embedded Software Engineer – Linux Kernel / PCIe / CXL

We are currently partnered with a technology organisation developing next-generation chipsets and high-performance interconnect technologies. This role focuses on embedded firmware and driver development for PCIe and CXL subsystems, working closely with hardware and architecture teams to deliver standards-compliant software and optimise performance, power efficiency, and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and commercialise embedded firmware and drivers for PCIe and CXL subsystems.
• Develop low-level software for next-generation chipsets and interconnect technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
• Optimise embedded software for performance, power efficiency, and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and future chipset planning.
• Ensure software compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Work with hardware and architecture teams on the evolution of future chipset architectures.

Key requirements

• 7+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in C programming.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in PCIe and CXL technologies.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded platforms.
• Familiarity with ACPI, UEFI, Linux Kernel, and Zephyr.
