Position Summary

The Staff Engineer is an entry-level role supporting DROP Collab’s project teams. Working under the direction of Project Managers, the Staff Engineer takes on delegated tasks, learns DROP’s tools and processes, and builds a strong foundation for a growing career in environmental consulting. This role is a great fit for an early-career engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to grow with a team that moves quickly and welcomes new ideas.

Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or a related field

EIT certification, or actively pursuing a Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferred

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where new ideas and change are constant

GIS experience a strong plus

Well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

Able to take direction and follow through on delegated work

Responsibilities

Project Support

Assist Project Managers in tracking project scope, schedules, and deliverables

Complete delegated project tasks accurately and on time

Attend client meetings to learn client management and project workflows

Coordinate with internal teams to help keep projects on track

Support data collection and entry as directed

Pretreatment Support

Assist with Industrial User (IU) permit tracking under the direction of a Project Manager

Support compliance tracking, recordkeeping, and documentation

Help prepare pretreatment correspondence and reports

Learn local limits, NPDES, and permit renewal processes

Travel

Occasional travel required for client sites, sampling events, and meetings

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
