Staff Infrastructure Engineer, Trading

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer, Trading to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will own infrastructure and operational tooling that supports multi-node trading environments across cloud and on-premises systems. The position is focused on improving reliability, deployment safety, and incident response for latency-sensitive platforms. You will partner closely with engineering, Product, Institutional Markets, and SRE teams to strengthen operational standards and support business objectives in a highly regulated environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $218,025 – $256,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and manage infrastructure and operational tooling for multi-node trading setups across cloud and on-premises environments
• Enhance system reliability and developer efficiency through observability, deployment safety measures, and incident response protocols
• Establish high operational standards with a focus on automation and minimizing single points of failure in the trading environment
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure latency-sensitive systems are efficient and operationally stable
• Provide mentorship to engineers and help build a resilient team culture in a dynamic environment
• Work across teams with Product, Institutional Markets, and SRE to align platform development with strategic objectives

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or SRE engineering with proven management of production systems at scale
• Experience operating infrastructure for trading environments, including on-prem or colocated setups
• Expertise in orchestration tools and both containerized and bare-metal deployments
• Strong understanding of Linux performance and networking in low-latency contexts
• Ability to oversee the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects from scoping to incident response
• Previous experience in regulated financial sectors with an emphasis on reliability and low latency
• Familiarity with responsible generative AI implementations that enhance workflow efficiency
