Staff Java Software Engineer - Specialty Pharmacy

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Java Software Engineer - Specialty Pharmacy to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will focus on designing and delivering scalable technology solutions that support complex healthcare operations. You will contribute to architecture discussions, help shape technical direction, and drive performance improvements across modern distributed systems. The position also involves collaborating closely with engineering teammates to ensure code quality, support cloud-based initiatives, and strengthen development practices in an Agile environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $106,605 – $260,590 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions that meet business needs
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions
• Provide input on technical feasibility and performance optimization
• Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are met
• Communicate with team members to align on technical insights
• Adopt best practices and new technologies to enhance productivity
• Mentor junior developers to improve their skills

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise solution delivery within large-scale distributed software environments
• 5+ years of Java and Spring Boot development experience
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing modern microservices and APIs
• 3+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline automation
• 3+ years of experience in an Agile development environment
