Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Gen AI | Voice & Speech

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer Gen AI | Voice & Speech to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $160,000 – $190,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ML infrastructure and tooling to enhance user experiences
• Build platforms enabling AI integration into customer-facing products
• Translate product goals into actionable engineering plans for scalable services
• Consult with teams on the data lifecycle and common ML patterns
• Mentor and elevate technical standards across teams
• Shape company-wide engineering standards for excellence and reliability
• Monitor technological advances and lead initiatives to stay ahead

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Machine Learning or AI, focusing on audio and voice GenAI solutions at scale
• Demonstrable experience building and deploying ML-driven B2B multi-tenant applications for external products
• Deep expertise in distributed systems architecture for high-transaction and data environments
• Strong background in scalable data stores, both relational and NoSQL
• Operational experience with cloud-native infrastructure on GCP or AWS, including Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code
