Staff Nurse

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Exercise professional judgement and make sound decisions related to nursing care delivery
• Carry out orders from Specialist Oncologists and Palliative Care Consultants in compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and procedures.
• Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to infection control policies, medication administration and storage guidelines, and controlled substance regulations.
• Observe, monitor, assess, document, and report patients' conditions and responses to medications and treatments.
• Monitor patient progress including IV infusions, wound care, and vital signs, and promptly identify and report any deviations or complications

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Nursing or higher qualification with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) from the Malaysian Nursing Board
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical ward. Experience in chemo administration would be an advantage
• Strong interest and passion for hospice and palliative nursing care
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. An alert and meticulous person
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
