Staff Nurse

About the role

To ensure that all patients get all the information they need to have a smooth and pleasant experience as they go through the emotional roller coaster of their fertility treatments. To contribute to the delivery of high quality fertility nursing care to patients. To be an active member of the multidisciplinary care team.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting patients throughout their infertility journey
• Obtain detailed medical history, review medical records and perform appropriate physical examination
• Collaborate with physician in developing and implementing treatment plan appropriate to individual patient
• Preparation for patients preparing to undergo In-Vitro Fertilization, and monitor subsequent cycles
• Identify, prepare and dispense medications and other medical products to patients based on prescriptions from doctors
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the medication area
• Assist in all ART Procedures (eg; Oocyte Pick up, Embryo Transfer, IUI, Surgical sperm extraction) and ensure all documentation is completed
• Assist in weekly stock takes for Medication and Consumables and inform PIC when stock is low
• Provide patient counseling and education throughout their fertility process
• Maintain excellent patient care and feedback mechanism

About you

• Possess at least a recognized Diploma in Nursing
• State registered nurse (SRN) with the Malaysian Nursing Board
• 2 - 3 years' experience
• Self-motivated, patient oriented and proactive
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and possesses a friendly disposition
