STAFF NURSE

About the role

Kuantan Clinical Diagnostic Centre Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our healthcare team in Kuantan, Pahang. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care across our general medical and surgical departments. As a Staff Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care, working collaboratively with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This role is essential to maintaining the standards of excellence that our centre is known for.

What you'll be doing

• Providing direct patient care and nursing interventions to patients in general medical and surgical wards
• Conducting patient assessments and monitoring vital signs, reporting any changes to medical staff
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient medical records and documentation
• Assisting with diagnostic procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety during examinations
• Communicating effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support regarding treatment plans
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualised care plans
• Ensuring infection control protocols and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Supporting junior nursing staff and contributing to their professional development
• Responding promptly to patient calls and addressing concerns with compassion and professionalism

What we're looking for

• Valid nursing qualification and registration with the relevant Malaysian nursing regulatory body
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a nurse in general medical and surgical settings
• Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care protocols, and clinical best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety
• Competency in infection control and hygiene protocols
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent
• Proficiency in English language, both written and verbal
