STAFF NURSE

About the role

This is a nursing position focused on delivering direct patient care, developing treatment plans, collaborating with medical teams, and advocating for patient safety and education.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient health by checking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and recording medical histories
• Administer medications including oral drugs, injections, and intravenous (IV) therapies accurately
• Provide physical care by assisting patients with personal hygiene, dressing wounds, and managing pain
• Develop care plans in collaboration with doctors to create and update customized treatment plans for each patient
• Maintain accurate records by monitoring and charting patient conditions, progress, and responses to treatments in real-time
• Assist physicians during medical examinations, surgeries, or diagnostic procedures
• Coordinate with the team by endorsing patient cases clearly to the incoming nursing shift to ensure continuous care
• Act as the main point of contact between the patient, their family, and the medical team
• Educate patients and their families about managing illnesses, taking medications, and handling home care after discharge
• Ensure the patient's rights, comfort, and safety preferences are always respected, maintain infection control standards, and operate medical equipment safely
