Job Description: Staff Nurse – Eye Clinic

Job Summary

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and dedicated Staff Nurse for an eye clinic in Wakad, Pune. The candidate will assist ophthalmologists during patient consultations and eye procedures, monitor patients, maintain clinical records, and ensure proper patient care and hygiene within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist ophthalmologists during patient consultations and eye examinations.
• Prepare patients for eye check-ups, diagnostic tests, and minor procedures.
• Check and record vital signs, including blood pressure and temperature, whenever required.
• Administer prescribed eye drops and medications as per the doctor's instructions.
• Assist doctors during minor ophthalmic procedures and treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Monitor patients before and after procedures and provide appropriate care.
• Maintain patient records, treatment details, and nursing documentation.
• Guide patients regarding prescribed medications, follow-up visits, and post-procedure care.
• Ensure proper handling of medical equipment and availability of clinical supplies.
• Coordinate with doctors, optometrists, receptionists, and other clinic staff.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing or relevant nursing qualification.
• Experience: 0–3 years; candidates with eye clinic or ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care, and infection control.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient-friendly attitude with a responsible and professional approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a clinical environment.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹20,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
