STAFF NURSE - DIALYSIS

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse - Dialysis to join our clinical team at ISUN Clinic SDN BHD in Ara Damansara, Selangor. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients requiring renal care. As a Staff Nurse in our dialysis unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting our medical team, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dialysis services. Key responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining dialysis equipment, ensuring all machinery is functioning optimally and meets safety standards
• Assisting nephrologists and senior medical staff during dialysis procedures and patient assessments
• Monitoring patients during treatment sessions, including vital signs, fluid balance, and response to dialysis therapy
• Administering medications as prescribed and documenting patient responses accurately
• Providing emotional support and patient education to help individuals understand their condition and treatment options
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and dialysis logs in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Performing venipuncture and managing vascular access sites with aseptic technique
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualised patient care plans
• Ensuring infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and safe treatment environment
• Responding to patient emergencies and providing immediate clinical support

What we're looking for

• A recognised nursing qualification (Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing) from an accredited institution
• Current registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body in Malaysia
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a dialysis, renal care, or acute clinical setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of haemodialysis procedures, vascular access management, and renal disease pathophysiology
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to recognise and respond to changes in patient condition
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic patient records systems
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to professional ethical standards
• Physical and emotional resilience, with the ability to work in a demanding clinical environment
• A compassionate approach to patient care with genuine empathy for individuals facing chronic illness
• Experience with infection control protocols and knowledge of bloodborne pathogen transmission prevention
