Staff Nurse (ED)

Ithis Hospital, Malappuram, Kerala is looking for a skilled and experienced Staff Nurse to join our Casualty / Emergency Department team.

Position: Staff Nurse – Casualty
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred
Qualification: B.Sc Nursing / GNM
Registration: Valid Kerala Nursing & Midwifery Council registration
Location: Kizhakkethala, Malappuram, Kerala

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and quality nursing care to emergency and casualty patients.
• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
• Assist doctors during emergency procedures and treatments.
• Handle emergency cases, trauma and critical patients efficiently.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in CPR and other emergency resuscitation procedures.
• Prepare and maintain emergency equipment and supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Coordinate with doctors, laboratory, radiology and other departments.
• Provide appropriate care and support to patients and attendants.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and maintain a calm approach under pressure.

Requirements

• B.Sc Nursing / GNM with valid nursing registration.
• Experience in Casualty / Emergency Department preferred.
• Good knowledge of emergency nursing procedures and basic life support.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night duty.
• Good communication, teamwork and patient-handling skills.
• Responsible, attentive and compassionate approach to patient care.

Salary: As per experience and qualification.
