Staff Nurses – Catheterization Laboratory (with or without Post Basic)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angiography, angioplasty, and interventional procedures.
• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures.
• Prepare patients physically and psychologically before procedures.
• Monitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic status during and after procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control, radiation safety, and Cath Lab protocols.
• Handle and maintain Cath Lab equipment and instruments safely.
• Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure patient education and care.
• Assist in emergency cardiac situations and resuscitation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and clinical audits.

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse with LJM (Malaysia).
• Post Basic in Cardiology / Cath Lab Nursing (mandatory).
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in Cath Lab / Cardiology unit preferred.
• Certified in BLS & ACLS.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work on-call / shift duties.
