Staff Pharmacist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess clinical pharmacy experience, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for medication management, patient assessments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations within a community pharmacy environment. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced pharmacy systems and contribute significantly to patient health outcomes.

Duties

• Dispense prescription medications accurately using pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy
• Prepare and compound non-sterile products
• Provide clinical consultation on medication therapy, pain management, immunizations, and medical management plans
• Administer immunizations
• Educate patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and health management strategies
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on patient care plans, including pediatrics and acute care cases
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Manage medication inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee medication storage safety standards
• Participate in patient service activities such as medication reconciliation and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the state of practice
• Prior experience preferred
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology principles
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools
• Strong understanding of immunizations administration and patient assessment skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining HIPAA compliance
• Excellent communication skills focused on patient service and education

This position is integral to delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care that enhances patient health outcomes through precise medication management and collaborative healthcare practices.

Pay: $61.54 - $72.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27.0 per week
