Staff Pharmacist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team for one to two days per week. Duties

• Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to legal and safety guidelines
• Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, explaining proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review patient treatment plans
• Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as needed for optimal results
• Maintain detailed records of medication administration and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards
• Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with all safety protocols and infection control procedures
• Stay current with medical terminology, pharmaceutical advancements, and hospital protocols to deliver informed patient care

Requirements

• Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant licensing authorities
• Community Pharmacy experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with fast-paced clinical settings
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy healthcare environment
