About Senior Life Pharmacy

Senior Life Pharmacy is a rapidly growing closed-door pharmacy specializing in medication adherence packaging and home delivery services for seniors. We partner with physicians, health plans, and patients to improve medication adherence and health outcomes through exceptional service and innovative pharmacy solutions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically focused Verification & Clarification Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. This position is responsible for reviewing prescriptions, verifying medication orders, resolving prescription and insurance-related issues, communicating with prescribers, and taking verbal prescriptions.

Unlike traditional retail pharmacy settings, this role allows pharmacists to focus on clinical accuracy, prescription verification, and provider collaboration without direct patient-facing retail interruptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform final verification of prescriptions prior to dispensing.
  • Review medication profiles for clinical appropriateness, interactions, duplicate therapies, allergies, and dosing concerns.
  • Contact prescribers’ offices to clarify incomplete, conflicting, or potentially inappropriate prescriptions.
  • Resolve prescription issues involving directions, quantities, refills, prior authorizations, and formulary alternatives.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and intake specialists to ensure timely processing of prescriptions.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Review and approve medication synchronization and adherence packaging programs.
  • Assist with quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all pharmacist interventions and communications.
  • Support clinical and operational teams as needed to ensure exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Pharmacist license in Georgia (or ability to obtain).
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, medication therapy management, and prescription processing.
  • Excellent communication skills with providers, patients, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in mail-order, long-term care, specialty, or closed-door pharmacy environments.
  • Experience with prescription verification and provider clarification workflows.
  • Familiarity with Liberty Software or similar pharmacy management systems.
  • Multi-state pharmacist licensure is a plus.

  • Collaborative team environment
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on senior patient care
  • Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding pharmacy organization
