Staff Procurement & Purchasing

About the role

PT Caraka Tirta Pratama is a growing Indonesian shipping company committed to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient maritime transportation services. As part of our business expansion, we are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Staff to join our team.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the procurement process for vessel spare parts, marine equipment, consumables, and technical services.
• Source, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQ), perform commercial evaluations, and negotiate with suppliers.
• Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure alignment with approved Purchase Requisitions (PR).
• Coordinate closely with Technical Superintendents, Fleet Operations, and other departments to support vessel operational requirements.
• Monitor purchase orders from placement through delivery to ensure timely supply to vessels and company warehouses.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring product quality and operational reliability.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical procurement standards, and applicable maritime regulations.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in ship procurement, marine purchasing, or technical procurement within a shipping company, ship management company, or shipyard.
• Strong understanding of marine spare parts, ship equipment, machinery components, and technical purchasing processes.
• Familiarity with the complete procurement cycle, including PR, RFQ, quotation analysis, PO issuance, supplier follow-up, and delivery monitoring.
• Good negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Able to communicate effectively in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working under pressure.
