Staff Product Engineer

🚀 We are Hiring: Staff Product Engineer — AI-Native Developer Tools | New York City (On-Site)

I am currently partnering with an exceptional, high-growth developer infrastructure company based in NYC that is expanding into AI-native developer tooling, including large-scale agent sandboxes and background coding agents.

Having scaled to approximately $10M ARR in under two years and backed by $58.5M from top-tier investors (including GV and Peak XV Capital), they operate at massive scale—scheduling over 100K concurrent vCPUs and running tens of millions of VMs monthly.

We are looking for a hands-on Staff Product Engineer to help set the technical direction for entirely new products and drive them from 0→1.

💰 What is on offer?

• Base Salary: $280,000 – $350,000 (with flexibility for exceptional candidates)
• Equity: Significant early-stage equity
• Visa Support: Existing visa transfers considered (e.g., OPT/H-1B transfers); no net-new visa sponsorship
• Work Arrangement: 5 days/week on-site in Flatiron, New York City

🛠 What You Will Do

• Drive the architectural and technical direction for brand-new AI-native developer tools.
• Personally design, build, and deploy high-impact products from 0→1, taking them from initial problem definition to production.
• Work across the full stack using TypeScript and React.
• Own production outcomes, including system performance, reliability, and customer experience.
• Operate as a senior individual contributor, mentoring engineers and raising technical standards across the organization.

🎯 Key Requirements

• Experience: 7 to 20 years of full-stack/product engineering experience.
• 0→1 Product Ownership: Proven track record of personally designing, building, and launching products from scratch within high-growth startup or scale-up environments.
• Core Tech Stack: Deep hands-on expertise with TypeScript and React across the full stack.
• IC Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to shape technical direction, make core architectural decisions, and lead through influence as a hands-on builder.
• Applied AI & Agentic Workflows: Active experience with Applied AI or extensive use of AI coding agents to streamline engineering workflows.
• Location: Based in or genuinely willing to relocate to NYC for 5 days/week on-site collaboration in Flatiron.

Note: Prior experience building products at developer tools or infrastructure startups is a strong plus.
