Staff Product Manager (Search Algorithms)

• The Discovery pillar’s core mission is to make it easy and delightful for retailers to find brands and products their customers will love
• This role will own product development of our algorithms powering search, the largest discovery surface — with a specific focus on search ranking
• We’re looking for an experienced Search PM, ideally with ranking experience, who can turn product insight into a durable roadmap and make sharp prioritization calls between near-term wins and longer-term investments
• You’ll work closely with a world-class data science team, and you’ll need enough technical fluency to engage credibly with their work even as they drive the technical execution
• Develop and execute a strategy that takes our search experience to the next level via ranking algorithmic iterations
• Own a product roadmap for Search Ranking that is analytically grounded, clearly prioritized, and connected to business outcomes
• Direct the analytical work of the pod — working alongside a dedicated strategy & analytics partner to identify novel opportunities, diagnose root causes of failure modes, interpret outputs, and translate findings into actionable insight
• Determine the right sequencing of opportunities, including when to invest in technical/foundational work that unlocks future gains versus near-term order volume delivery
• Define and refine the metrics that give the team a clear picture of Search Ranking performance and the retailer experience
• Build trusted partnerships across ML Platform, Discovery Infrastructure, and adjacent Search teams, managing team bandwidth while delivering on shared goals
• Represent the team’s strategy and progress to leadership

• 7+ years of product management experience, including direct ownership of search or ranking systems, ideally at a marketplace or e-commerce company
• Execution rigor across complex, multi-dependency work
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
