Staff/ Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Staff Engineer, Electrical Design develops new electrical systems and circuits for various applications. You will research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems, capturing them in schematics and system specifications. You will test, simulate, validate and qualify systems and make adjustments as needed. You will provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems you have designed. You will work in cross functional teams with other designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership to ensure robust and high quality product development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement technical solutions for complex projects
• Participate in project planning and scheduling
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a global team of engineers
• Take responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project (people, financials etc.)
• Review and interpret customer specifications and act as primary customer contact
• Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions
• Lead the deployment of strategic technologies and programs and coordinate global deployment efforts
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer needs, including creation of schematics, bills of material, diagrams, and drawings
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
• Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams

About you

• 11 to 14 years of typical experience
• Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Global SME with comprehensive knowledge and industry recognition
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Ability to analyse and interpret data and information
• Ability to create reports and documentation
