Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable software systems for Mindtickle's SaaS platform. The role involves leading backend engineering initiatives, designing distributed systems and microservices, making architectural decisions, optimizing application performance, and establishing engineering best practices. The engineer will also mentor team members and collaborate with product, infrastructure, security, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for cloud-based SaaS applications.
• Lead the development of backend services, APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Develop production-grade software using Java, Python, Go, or other suitable backend programming languages.
• Design robust system architectures that support high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Build and maintain efficient RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching systems, and data-processing components.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies to improve system responsiveness and reliability.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automated testing and deployment processes.
• Leverage cloud infrastructure, monitoring, logging, and observability tools to maintain system health.
• Establish coding standards, code-review practices, testing strategies, and software engineering best practices.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and support professional development within the engineering team.
• Collaborate with product managers, security specialists, infrastructure engineers, and QA teams to deliver business requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term solutions to improve system stability.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps, engineering decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7–12 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, Go, or similar backend technologies.
• Proven expertise in system design, distributed systems, microservices, and API architecture.
• Experience developing and operating production-grade SaaS applications.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and performance optimization.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and make architecture-level decisions.
• Experience mentoring engineers and conducting code and design reviews.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Key Objective

To design and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable SaaS solutions for Mindtickle by leading backend engineering initiatives, improving system performance, driving architectural excellence, mentoring engineers, and ensuring high standards of software quality and operational reliability.

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
