Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources
• Place orders for staffing assignments based on patient census and staff availability
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement staffing plans
• Monitor and report on staffing metrics, such as turnover rates and vacancy rates
• Develop and maintain relationships with staffing agencies to ensure timely and cost-effective placement of temporary staff
• Identify and address staffing gaps and provide recommendations for improvement
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to optimize staffing processes and patient outcomes

Staffing Coordinator Requirements:

• Prior experience in staffing coordination or a related field required, preferably in a nursing home
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
• Experience with electronic staffing systems and software
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
