Staffing Operations Manager

Role Description The Staffing Operations Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Memphis Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees day-to-day staffing operations, including managing requisitions, coordinating candidate sourcing and screening, and ensuring timely placement across client accounts. The Staffing Operations Manager will supervise and support recruiters and coordinators, monitor performance metrics, and implement process improvements to enhance fill rates and retention. The role includes building strong client relationships, understanding workforce needs, and aligning staffing strategies with service-level expectations. The manager will also handle compliance with agency policies and employment regulations, prepare operational reports, and contribute to forecasting and resource planning.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in staffing operations, recruitment coordination, or workforce management, preferably in high-volume environments such as warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, or healthcare.
• Strong skills in team leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to coach, set priorities, and drive accountability.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and basic data/reporting tools (e.g., spreadsheets, dashboards) to track metrics and analyze trends.
• Solid client service, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build long-term partnerships.
• Capability in process design and improvement, including organizing workflows, standardizing procedures, and solving operational problems in a fast-paced setting.
• Understanding of basic employment laws, regulatory considerations, and best practices related to staffing agencies and contingent workforces.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous experience in a staffing agency or talent acquisition function is highly beneficial; experience in the Memphis market or similar regions is a plus.
