Context Additive Manufacturing enables a new generation of lightweight, multifunctional, and system-integrated vehicle architectures. Future automotive components will combine structural, thermal, acoustic-vibration and crash-management functions within a single optimized design. The internship will contribute to the Flagship Mass & Efficiency roadmap by exploring biomimetic design principles, lattice and TPMS structures, and the digital engineering methodologies required to evaluate these concepts through rapid CAD-CAE loops. Main Activities Literature review on biomimetic and multifunctional structures Benchmark of automotive and aerospace applications Exploration of biomimetic methodologies – support from a French Startup Development of parametric CAD workflows Evaluation of : Evaluation of new digital engineering tools approach like with Synera and 3DEXPERIENCE capabilities Preliminary multi-physics assessment (Crash, NVH, stiffness, thermal) Definition of a digital methodology for future Additive Manufacturing demonstrators Expected Deliverables Biomimetic & AM design guide Digital workflow architecture Demonstrator case studies Recommendations for the Stellantis AM 2.0 roadmap
