What they need
Staging & Operations Coordinator
Haus of Heidi | Oceanside, CAPart-Time / Flexible Hours | Growth Opportunity
Haus of Heidi is a growing boutique home staging and interior design company in Oceanside, and we’re looking for the right person to become an important part of our staging and operations team.
This is not a desk job and it’s not a traditional 9–5 position.
One day you might be helping design and install a beautiful North County listing. The next you’re pulling inventory in our warehouse, styling shelves, receiving new furniture, organizing an upcoming stage, or helping us get everything reset and ready for the next project.
We’re looking for someone who is creative AND operational — someone with a great eye who also loves making things run better.
What You’ll Do
- Help design and install vacant home stagings
- Pull and prep furniture, art and accessories for upcoming installations
- Assist with de-stages and returning inventory to the warehouse
- Help keep our two Oceanside warehouses organized and functional
- Coordinate staging logistics and upcoming projects
- Style rooms, shelves, beds and accessories
- Receive, assemble, tag and organize new inventory
- Identify inventory needs and help plan upcoming stages
- Work alongside Heidi and the Haus of Heidi staging team
- Take on greater ownership of staging projects as your experience grows
You Might Be Our Person If…
You have a really good eye for interiors, but you’re also the person who naturally starts organizing the chaos.
You notice things. You take initiative. You don’t need someone standing next to you telling you what to do every five minutes.
You’re comfortable making decisions while also being willing to learn the Haus of Heidi aesthetic.
You’re hands-on and comfortable being on your feet, climbing stairs, working in a warehouse and helping move smaller furniture, art and accessories.
You’re positive, resourceful and don’t get rattled when a staging day gets busy.
And you are dependable.
Reliability is non-negotiable.
Our staging dates are tied to real estate listing schedules, photographers, movers and clients. When you’re scheduled for a project, the entire team needs to be able to count on you.
We completely understand that life happens. But we’re specifically looking for someone whose schedule and outside commitments allow them to reliably show up for the days they’ve committed to.
The Reality of the Position
Our schedule is based on staging projects, so hours vary from week to week.
We cannot guarantee full-time hours or a specific number of hours each week right now. Some weeks are very busy; others are lighter.
This position is best suited for someone who has some flexibility in their schedule and is excited about growing with a small business rather than someone who needs a guaranteed 40-hour workweek immediately.
For the right person, there is significant opportunity for the role to grow in hours, responsibility and compensation as Haus of Heidi continues to expand. You have the ability to carve out space for yourself and become an integral part of the team.
Experience
Home staging or interior design experience is fantastic, but a great eye, strong work ethic, initiative and reliability matter more to us than the perfect résumé.
Experience in visual merchandising, furniture/home décor, event installation, warehouse operations, real estate or similar hands-on creative environments can translate really well.
Starting pay: $20/hour during training, with opportunity for an increase based on performance and responsibility.
Location: Oceanside / North County San Diego, with staging projects throughout San Diego County.
Interested?
Send us a little about yourself, your general availability, any relevant experience and why this particular position caught your attention.
We’d also love to see anything that shows us your eye — staging, interiors, merchandising, styling, your own home, or other creative work.
Hot Tip: email your resume to [email protected] for immediate review. Interviews can be scheduled as soon as possible.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 35.0 per week
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
Application Question(s):
- Are you located in Oceanside or the surrounding area? (Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos, Encinitas)
- Our staging schedule varies week to week, and scheduled project days are firm once committed. Are you comfortable with variable part-time hours and able to reliably commit to the days you accept? Yes/No
- Tell me briefly about your experience with home staging, interior design, visual merchandising, or styling. If you don’t have professional experience, tell us what makes you confident you have a strong eye for interiors.
