Responsibilities

• Assist experienced painters with surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, caulking, and priming surfaces before painting or staining begins
• Support the application of paint, stain, or finish using hand tools or airless paint spraying equipment under supervision
• Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, covering furniture or fixtures, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Handle basic carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, framing, or drywall repairs needed for painting projects
• Mix paints or stains accurately according to color theory principles and project specifications
• Clean brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
• Assist with other renovation tasks such as plastering, masonry work, or fixture installation as directed by supervisors

Requirements

• Prior experience or familiarity with construction site work is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and safety procedures on construction sites
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics is a plus but not required; training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail with an understanding of color theory for accurate stain matching and finishing
• Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, climb ladders or scaffolds, and perform manual labor throughout the workday
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are vital for collaborating effectively on projects
• Basic math skills for measurements and mixing paint or stain accurately
