Role Description – Trainee (Banking, Finance & Capital Markets)

We are seeking a Trainee to join our Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Practice. Working closely with associates and partners, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across banking, finance, capital markets and financial regulatory matters, including cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with banking, finance and capital markets transactions, including due diligence, transaction documents and closings.

Support financial regulatory advice through legal research, memoranda and client deliverables.

Assist with drafting and reviewing transaction documentation and liaising with relevant regulatory authorities.

Monitor legal and regulatory developments and contribute to client alerts and internal know-how.

Support practice operations, matter management and internal collaboration.

Qualifications

Law degree (LL.B.) from a leading Turkish university, eligible to undertake a legal traineeship in Türkiye; an LL.M. is advantageous.

Strong academic record and genuine interest in banking, finance, capital markets and financial regulation.

Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Successful completion of the Hukuk Mesleklerine Giriş Sınavı (HMGS) is preferred.

Excellent legal research, drafting, analytical and communication skills.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
