Works with production plans given by the supervisor, meeting quality and time standards during the process. Inspects every part produced by comparing it with the first piece. Cleans constantly (die, tools and parts) to avoid burrs or waste which may damage the machine. Has to be aware of the security risk within the area, and meet every security requirement before starting work. If the die is not functioning correctly, has the obligation to inform the supervisor and to not start the machine. Level 1 does not requires experience, starts as a helper in simpler operations (never operates the machine without supervision) Level 2 is capable of using stationary dies. Level 3 is capable of using progressive dies. This is a high risk operation. Level 4. Sets up, checks, calibrates and does preventive maintenance and adjustments in stamping machines. Knows all the necessary tools to operate the stamping machine. Interprets guidelines and designs for the development of each piece. Also functions as the team leader. May require additional certification/education/training at this level.
