Job Summary

Stan’s Kitchen is looking for a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. The Sales Associate will assist customers in finding the right cooking and kitchen products while providing excellent customer service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, learning about kitchen products, and helping customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Help customers find cookware, bakeware, kitchen utensils, gadgets, small appliances, food storage products, and other kitchen merchandise.
• Learn product features, uses, and benefits in order to make helpful recommendations.
• Ask questions to customers to understand their cooking needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Demonstrate or explain how kitchen products are used when appropriate.
• Suggest complementary products and accessories based on customers’ needs.
• Operate the cash register/POS system and process sales accurately.
• Maintain accurate pricing and product information.
• Maintain clean, attractive, and well-organized sales areas.
• Receive, unpack, and organize merchandise as needed.
• Stock shelves and keep merchandise organized and properly displayed.
• Assist with inventory counts and identify products that need to be restocked.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, returns, and exchanges professionally.
• Work with team members to meet store sales and customer service goals.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail when checking prices, inventory, and product information.
• Basic computer and POS skills.
• Knowledge of or strong interest in cooking and kitchen products, and willingness to learn new products and brands.
• Ability to learn and explain different cookware, bakeware, kitchen tools, utensils, small appliances, and other
• cooking products.
• Ability to assist customers with product recommendations based on their needs.
• Ability to keep merchandise organized, stocked, and well-presented.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
