START ASAP - Building Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical Engineer)

About the role

The Building Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and optimization of building systems and facilities. This role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, fire protection, and other building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The Building Engineer supports business continuity by maintaining a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for building occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain building equipment and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, elevators, and generators
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential issues
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance work with contractors and service providers
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, and reports
• Ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency of building systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to building operations
• Monitor utility consumption and recommend cost-saving initiatives
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and systems
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering field
• Professional Engineer (PRC Licensed Engineer) preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in building operations, facilities management, property management, or maintenance engineering
• Experience managing commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use properties is an advantage
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
• Understanding of building management systems (BMS)
• Knowledge of local building codes, occupational safety, and environmental regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management software
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
