Start Up Advisor

Position Summary

Romtec Utilities designs, manufactures, supplies and installs pumping systems for any type of water; including wastewater, storm-water, industrial water, clean water and potable water. All pumping systems include all structural, mechanical, electrical and control and communication aspects. Once installed and connected to power, the start-up technician goes to the site to start and prove the system.

This position is responsible for traveling to customer job sites to complete Romtec Utilities Systems commissioning and start up. In addition, the Field Service Technician may be responsible for automation and control system PLC/HMI programming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Represent Romtec and its products
• Understand job specific electrical construction or underground construction
• Work with Romtec Project Management
• Provide written reports relative to specific projects
• Multiple years in either underground construction or electrical construction ;
• Ability to travel for as many as four days in a row ;
• Reasonable computer skills ;
• Ability for jobs that may be weeks or months apart ;

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must be able to be outdoors on a job site all day. There are no significant lifting requirements. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to high. The employee must be able to drive and utilize air travel.

Pay: $250.00 - $500.00 per day
