State Manager Senior Manager

For our client, we are seeking a State Manager Senior Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will oversee the strategy and performance of assigned states, with a primary focus on profitable growth and strong business execution. The position will partner closely with internal stakeholders across product, pricing, underwriting, risk, and operations to advance state-level objectives. It will also serve as a key interface with regulators while using market insight and financial analysis to inform decisions and drive results.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $134,000 – $209,750 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and performance of assigned states, focusing on growth and profitability.
• Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to inform business decisions and strategies.
• Lead product, pricing, underwriting, and risk management initiatives for state objectives.
• Serve as the primary liaison with state regulators to advance business objectives.
• Foster cross-functional alignment across teams to effectively execute initiatives and deliver results.
• Develop data-driven business cases that support strategic priorities and influence decisions.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team to strengthen organizational capabilities and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in insurance, product management, pricing, risk management, analytics, or related business leadership roles.
• Proven ability to lead complex business initiatives and drive measurable results.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L management, and business performance metrics.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and align with senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
