Station Manager

About the role

This role involves managing the overall operations of a retail petrol station, including achieving marketing objectives, managing staff recruitment, training and supervision, and ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining company standards and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve marketing objectives established within allocated resources
• Manage recruitment, training, deployment and supervision of station employees
• Ensure smooth and efficient running of daily operations
• Enforce standards and safeguard the integrity of the company
• Respond to feedback and customer complaints
• Achieve profitability through exercising cost control
• Plan and manage rosters and time off
• Train and develop staff on standards of performance, appearance and behaviour
• Ensure all station employees provide required standard of customer service and follow workplace health and safety guidelines
• Ensure station is adequately staffed during shifts and notify HR of manpower shortages

About you

• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Degree or diploma holder in business, operations or retail management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build lasting relationships with customers
• Basic competency in IT
• Good initiative and leadership skills, lead by example
• Minimum 3 years managerial experience in retail petrol station
• Energetic and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate staff effectively towards achieving excellent customer care standards and sales targets
