Statutory Planner

• Band 6, Starting salary $94,713 plus superannuation

The Role

As a rapidly growing regional City, do you want to be a part of the building and construction boom in Bendigo?

Working with a large team of supportive and collaborative professionals, you will provide accurate and consistent advice and support to residents, developers and consultants and manage a caseload of planning applications of moderate to complex nature.

You will receive a great diversity of applications which extend across all areas of land use and development.

As an experienced Statutory Planner, you will oversee the passage of planning applications through the legislated planning process from lodgement to decision, making recommendations in accordance with the Greater Bendigo Planning Scheme.

As part of a multi-disciplinary organisation, you may additionally contribute to strategic planning projects relating to managing growth, heritage, neighbourhood character and the environment, planning compliance matters, and process improvements.

About You

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present clear and precise reports, permits and correspondence are essential for this position. You will have knowledge of the relevant Acts and provisions, enjoy working in a team environment and have strong attention to detail and time management skills. You will hold a Degree or Diploma qualification with relevant experience in Planning or similar discipline.

This role requires satisfactory police records check.
