Steel Erection Supervisor

Role Description The Steel Erection Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for overseeing all steel erection activities on construction projects. This role includes managing daily site operations, coordinating steel erection crews, and ensuring that work is executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project schedules. The supervisor monitors structural steel installation, aligns and bolts connections, and verifies that materials and equipment are used correctly and safely. They collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues, maintain progress, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. The role also involves conducting site inspections, preparing daily reports, and supporting continuous improvement of erection methods and site practices.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills and experience in leading steel erection or structural construction teams.
• Proficiency in site supervision and coordination of on-site activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, consultants, engineers, and site personnel.
• Hands-on experience with inspection of structural steel work, alignment, connections, and quality control procedures.
• Sound knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations related to steel erection and working at heights.
• Experience in reading and interpreting structural drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
• Minimum of a diploma or degree in civil, structural, or construction engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with relevant international and local building codes and standards used in Dubai and the UAE.
• Ability to work on-site in demanding conditions, prioritize tasks, and maintain high standards under time constraints.
• Previous experience in GCC region steel erection projects is an advantage.
