Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Erector to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and securing steel structures on various construction sites. Responsibilities

• Erect and install steel frameworks, beams, columns, and other structural components according to blueprints and technical drawings
• Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and effectively during construction activities
• Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and installation
• Perform rebar installation, metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and other related tasks as needed on-site
• Assist with concrete forming, finishing, plastering, stucco application, and masonry work to support overall project goals
• Conduct dimensional measurements using tape measures and other tools to verify proper fit and alignment of structural elements
• Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate activities, maintain safety standards, and meet project deadlines

Experience

• Proven construction site experience with a focus on metal building erection or structural steel installation
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for various construction components
• Hands-on experience with welding, rebar installation, framing carpentry (including trim carpentry), siding, drywall, and remodeling projects
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely in a construction environment
• Knowledge of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during assembly processes
• Proficiency with hand tools such as tape measures, hammers, wrenches, drills; familiarity with power tools is essential
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, working at heights, and operating machinery
