Our crews work on metal building systems including structural framing, roof and wall installation, insulation systems, and related erection activities. We take pride in strong communication, experienced foremen, and delivering projects safely and on schedule.

Steel Erector / Ironworker

JD Martin Steel Erectors, Inc. is seeking dependable, hard-working Steel Erectors / Ironworkers to join our team in Southwest Michigan.

This position involves erecting pre-engineered metal building systems, installing roof and wall panels, operating equipment, handling materials, and working safely at heights in a team-oriented environment.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, show up ready to work, and value safety, professionalism, and teamwork on the jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Erect pre-engineered metal building systems
• Install roof panels, wall panels, trim, and insulation systems
• Assist with structural framing and steel installation
• Operate aerial lifts, telehandlers, and power tools
• Perform rigging and material handling safely and efficiently
• Follow all fall protection and jobsite safety requirements
• Work effectively with foremen and crew members
• Maintain a clean and professional jobsite

Qualifications

• Experience in PEMB erection, metal building construction, roofing, or related construction trades preferred
• Ability to work safely at heights
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• OSHA, lift, welding, or rigging certifications are a plus
