Job Title: Steel Fabricator

Job Summary:
A Steel Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and fabricating steel components according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements. The role involves using fabrication tools and machinery to produce steel structures while ensuring quality, accuracy, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans.
• Measure, mark, cut, bend, and shape steel plates, beams, pipes, and other metal components.
• Perform steel fabrication, fitting, and assembly according to project specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment, including cutting machines, grinders, drilling machines, and bending machines.
• Prepare steel components for welding and assembly.
• Check dimensions, alignment, and tolerances to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with welders, fitters, supervisors, and other team members to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in steel fabrication or a similar role.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Knowledge of steel cutting, measuring, fitting, and assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools and machinery.
• Good measurement, problem-solving, and practical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to handle steel materials safely.

Working Conditions

• Work in a steel fabrication workshop or construction site.
• Handle heavy steel materials and operate industrial equipment.
• Work in accordance with project schedules and safety requirements.

Experience

Typically, 2–5 years of relevant experience is preferred, depending on the project and employer.

Reporting to: Fabrication Supervisor / Workshop Manager

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,700.00 per month
