About the Role Randstad is currently partnering with a leading construction client to secure experienced Steel Fixers for a major project on the North West Coast of Tasmania.

What you will be doing:

• Reading and interpreting structural engineering plans and blueprints
• Cutting, bending, placing, and tying steel reinforcement (rebar and mesh)
• Setting out work safely and efficiently ahead of major concrete pours
• Working closely alongside formworkers, concreters, and site supervisors

What we are looking for:

• Proven, on-site experience as a Steel Fixer (commercial or heavy civil experience is highly regarded)
• A current White Card
• The physical fitness required for heavy manual handling and continuous bending/tying
• Your own reliable transport and basic hand tools (nips/tool belt)
• Additional tickets (EWP, Working at Heights, or Telehandler) will be highly regarded but are not essential
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-player attitude
