Job Description: Steel Fixer – Building ContractingJob Summary

We are seeking an experienced Steel Fixer with strong expertise in building contracting and reinforced concrete construction. The candidate will be responsible for fixing and installing reinforcement steel according to structural drawings, specifications, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural drawings, bar bending schedules, and reinforcement details.
• Cut, bend, place, and tie reinforcement bars for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, stairs, and other concrete structures.
• Install reinforcement steel accurately according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure correct bar spacing, lap lengths, concrete cover, anchoring, and positioning.
• Prepare and install reinforcement cages and supports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, carpenters, and other construction workers.
• Check reinforcement work before concrete pouring and rectify any discrepancies.
• Follow approved construction methods, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Use hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the work area.
• Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient use of reinforcement steel.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong practical experience in reinforced concrete building construction.
• Good knowledge of rebar fixing, bending, cutting, and tying.
• Ability to understand structural drawings and reinforcement details.
• Familiarity with foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls, and staircases.
• Knowledge of construction site safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience as a Steel Fixer in building contracting or construction projects.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building projects is preferred.

Qualification

• Relevant trade certification or vocational training is preferred but not mandatory.
• Practical steel-fixing experience in building construction is essential.

Pay: AED1,300.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
