Duties

• Facilitate engaging Minecraft coding and game design workshops tailored for children and youth, ensuring activities are accessible and enjoyable for all skill levels
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that promotes cooperation and respect
• Guide students through the process of designing, coding, and testing their own Minecraft-based games using age-appropriate programming tools and platforms
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including child supervision and emergency procedures such as first aid, CPR, and AED operation
• Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum plans that align with educational standards and youth development goals
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage teamwork and creativity during activities
• Maintain organized records of attendance, student engagement, and activity outcomes to support program evaluation

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational or camp settings, particularly in STEM or technology-focused programs
• Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive environment
• Knowledge of Minecraft game design principles and experience with coding platforms such as MakeCode or Code.org is preferred
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain prior to start date; experience with first aid protocols highly valued
• Background in youth development programs, special education, or behavior management enhances effectiveness in this role
• Experience facilitating youth group activities or summer camp programs that promote teamwork and leadership skills
• Familiarity with childhood development principles, teaching strategies for young children, and outdoor work experience beneficial for engaging students in varied environments
