Stenographer

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly skilled Stenographer to join on contractual basis for our client at Audit Bhawan, Bangalore Karnataka. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise, real-time transcripts of meetings, hearings, speeches, and legal or administrative proceedings using specialized shorthand or a steno machine. The ideal candidate possesses fast typing speeds, exceptional listening skills, and outstanding command of language and grammar.

Key Responsibilities:

· Dictation & Transcription: Record spoken proceedings in real time using stenographic equipment, shorthand, or steno mask methods.

· Documentation Preparation: Transcribe audio recording and verbatim notes into formal, accurate reports, records or legal documents.

· Accuracy & Formatting: Review and edit transcriptions for proper grammar, punctuation, legal/technical and formatting compliance.

· File Management: Organize, index and securely archive confidential transcripts and audio files for quick retrieval.

· Administrative Support: Assist with general office tasks, including drafting correspondence, managing schedules, and compiling documentation as needed.

Qualification and Skills:

· Speed & Accuracy: Minimum Shorthand/Stenography speed of 50-100+ WPM with high accuracy.

· Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in Stenography.
