Sterile Processing Technician

Role Overview: Responsible for maintaining standards in the assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing, and sterilization of surgical instruments. Ensures the accurate and timely preparation, sterilization, and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment, and case carts, supporting workflow efficiency and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain standards for surgical instrument processing and sterilization
• Perform sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies
• Coordinate with nursing staff to supply sterile instruments and equipment
• Support continuous workflow and customer service excellence

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program or 3 years of sterile processing experience
• Certifications such as CCST or CST preferred but not required
