Position: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Location: Westerville, OH

Contract: 13 Weeks with possibility of extension

Shift: Days | 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 5×8

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay: $1,280–$1,400/week gross

Duties

• Perform thorough decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments, endoscopes, and other medical equipment using approved sterilization techniques.
• Assemble, inspect, and package sterile processing medical instruments according to strict aseptic techniques and manufacturer guidelines.
• Manage inventory levels efficiently by tracking supplies, ordering necessary items, and maintaining accurate records of sterilized equipment.
• Reprocess complex medical devices such as endoscopes, ensuring compliance with all infection prevention standards and manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of sterilization cycles, decontamination procedures, and equipment maintenance for regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to infection control protocols by practicing proper hand hygiene, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and following hospital policies to prevent cross-contamination.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure all instruments are prepared accurately and promptly for upcoming procedures.

Requirements:

• 3+ years Sterile Processing experience
• CBSPD or CRCST certification required
• BLS certificate
• Travel experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Epic experience preferred
• Censitrac experience required
• Medivator experience required
• Experience with Drills, Scopes & Da Vinci required
• HLD, decontamination, assembly & sterilization experience
• Must be proficient across all areas and willing to float

Pay: $1,280.00 - $1,400.00 per week
